This app collects nothing. There is no account, no sign-up, and no server that belongs to us. Everything below explains what that means in practice.
Your voice
In the interview mode, the app listens to your answer and turns it into text so it can tell you whether an officer would accept it. That happens on your iPhone. The app asks iOS to recognize speech on the device itself, so your voice is not sent anywhere. It is not recorded, not stored, and not transmitted. When you stop answering, it is gone.
We built it this way on purpose. The people using this app are in the middle of an immigration process. Sending their voice to a server would be a bad idea even if it were convenient.
What is stored on your iPhone
The app saves which questions you have answered correctly, which test version you selected, and which state you chose. This is kept in the app's own storage on your device so it is still there next time you open it. Deleting the app deletes it.
What we do not do
- No analytics, no tracking, no advertising, and no third-party SDKs of any kind.
- No account, no email address, no phone number, no name.
- Nothing is shared with anyone, because nothing is collected.
Network access
The app works with no connection at all. It reaches the network for two things only: to show the price of the one-time unlock and to complete that purchase. Both go to Apple, not to us. On some devices, iOS may download its own speech recognition components; that is between your iPhone and Apple.
Purchases
The interview mode is unlocked with a single payment. That purchase is handled entirely by Apple. We never see your payment details — not your card, not your name, not your address. Apple tells the app one thing: whether the unlock was purchased.
Children
This app is for adults preparing for a naturalization interview. It does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children, because it does not collect information at all.
About the civics questions
The questions and their accepted answers are published by U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services and are public material. This app is not affiliated with USCIS or any government agency, and no government agency endorses it.
Changes
If this policy ever changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new date. If a change ever meant the app started collecting something, it would be announced in the app before it happened.
